The PHY1090 from Maxim Integrated is a Linear Transimpedance Amplifier that has a transimpedance of 2 kOhm. It has an automatic gain control and integrated PIN filter capacitor & resistor. This amplifier can handle an input current of up to 2 mAp-p and has input-referred noise of up to 1100 nArms. It has a return loss of 20dB and a total harmonic distortion of 2-6.5%. This amplifier produces OMA-based RSSI output current with an RSSI accuracy of 30% and has an RSSI response time of 30 ms. It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V. This amplifier is available in a die package that measures 1.169 x 0.929 mm and is ideal for EDC-enabled fiber optic receivers up to 10 Gbps, OC192 telecom systems, and IEEE 10GBASE-LRM receiver systems.
