High power wavelength stabilized multiemitter laser diodes modules are mandatory in many applications requiring stabilized pump laser sources, including 976 nm stabilized pump modules or kilowatt-range direct diode sources exploiting Wavelength Division Multiplexing techniques . Conventional technology uses wavelength stabilization components such as Volume Bragg Gratings (VBG) inside of the optical path of a multiemitter packaged Fabry Perot lasers: drawbacks are cost increase, limited injection locking range and typically 15% of power reduction.
