Fundamental physical processes of solid particles, imaged while moving at low velocities in rarefied gases, are the theme of a campaign of experiments using the proposed Fundamental Physics, Electrostatics, and Imaging Facility (FEIF), for the International Space Station (ISS). With its removable scientific modules, FEIF will allow the study of multiple physical systems, including dusty plasmas and grain growth in the early stages of planet formation.
