Humans live where air meets liquid water and multiphase systems are central to human life on Earth. As humans spend more time in space, and settle the Moon and March, they will increasingly have to rely on multiphase systems. On Earth, buoyancy often determines the behavior of such systems, making it challenging to use what we currently know in environments with different or zero gravity.
