Critical Alignment of Aperture Converters

Download Whitepaper
When using an aperture converter for beam expansion or compression one must make certain that the optical axis of the aperture converter is well aligned to the optical axis of the interferometer. Misalignment induces non-symmetric aberrations in the transmitted wavefront exiting the aperture converter. Error in this transmitted wavefront results in ray-tracing error that increases measurement uncertainty.
