Autonomous cars, or self-driving cars, are quickly becoming a reality. All major car manufacturers have released car models with various levels of autonomy, and many governments have already granted licenses to allow them on public roads. 5G is expected to provide the high-speed and ultra-responsive connections and scalability that autonomous vehicles need. Several test tracks already exist where autonomous vehicles are connected via a 5G network.
