This application note covers how the CTP10 platform can be shared among several test stations. This can be particularly useful in a manufacturing environment to leverage the large number of optical detectors included in the CTP10 mainframe as well as the tunable laser. The configuration and software implementation are discussed in the first two sections. Considerations related to metrology are discussed in the last section. The CTP10 platform works in conjunction with EXFO’s line of T100S-HP swept tunable lasers to perform insertion loss (IL) and return loss (RL) measurements of passive optical components.
