This application note describes how the CTP10 platform can be used to measure sub‑picometer peaks or troughs in the transmission spectrum of a passive optical component using the logging function of the OPM optical detectors. The CTP10 is a high-performance multiport detection system for passive component testing that works with EXFO’s T100S-HP series of swept tunable lasers. The IL RL OPM2 and SCAN SYNC modules offer a comprehensive and integrated solution to perform swept insertion loss (IL) and return loss (RL) measurements with a resolution of 1 pm and an accuracy of ±5 pm.
