The expansion of the Ethernet and the greater enforcement of service-level agreements (SLA) have forced operators and carriers to spend more time and effort on the service turn-up phase. In a quest to make this as efficient and as cost-effective as possible, many have begun introducing specific methods, processes and procedures. In order to help operators and carriers solve their service turn-up challenges, EXFO has integrated turn-up capabilities into its BV-3100 Verifier, which is part of the EXFO’s service assurance product line. The purpose of this paper is to explore the benefits of the centralized turn-up method as well as the key BV-3100 turn-up capabilities.
