EXFO has developed a unique automated method for accurately determining the optimum pivot point to facilitate pigtailing and/or test and measurement applications of arrayed devices such as, but not limited to: arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs), optical switches and transceivers. The solution developed for this application is known as ProPivot™ software. Below we describe the rationale behind ProPivot software and how it is implemented.
