The flow through of any orifice depends on the size of the orifice, the inlet and outlet pressures, and gas density. The Baratron® pressure transducer measures absolute pressure. In both models, Full Scale ranges of 100, 1000, 2000 Torr, or 100 psia are available. The πPC controls pressure from 2% to 100% of Full Scale. Prudent design suggests choosing the lowest possible pressure Full Scale for the application, taking into consideration the overpressure to which the sensor may be exposed (both normal and accidental), the inlet and outlet pressures, and gas density.
