Infrared Optical Analyzers for Hydrogen Analysis

Hydrogen fuel for automotive and stationary fuel cell applications must be extremely pure, as contaminants can rapidly degrade the performance of the catalysts in fuel cells, even when present at extremely low concentrations. Hydrogen produced in industrial processes can contain significant levels of other gases, such as CO, N2, H2O, CO2, etc. These contaminants must be tightly controlled in any hydrogen used to fuel the cells. There is therefore a need for effective analytical tools that can monitor the critical contaminants throughout the hydrogen production process and through the final QA/QC of the hydrogen final product.
