Lasers require precise alignment in their design to simultaneously deliver optimal power and provide ultrastability of the beam in position and quality. To meet this requirement, the laser designer must precisely control the optical path inside the laser. The design of lasers requires very high precision in assembling the components and sub-assemblies that constitute them.
