Newport NPA Actuators are an excellent option for nanometer-level linear motion under heavy loads with high dynamic response requirements. With an axial load capacity of 1000 N, sub-nm resolution motion and dynamic response on the order of milliseconds, these actuators can be integrated into a variety of fixtures and are suitable for a large number of applications. NPA Actuators are driven with the XPS-DRVP1 driver board integrated on an XPS motion controller. The XPS has ESP technology for automatic configuration and plug-and-play operation out of the box. The default configuration was validated for the actuator in a minimal load condition.
