The SU10 is able to directly deliver substances of interest into single cell (nucleus orcytoplasm), using a “nano” pipette with a tip outer diameter of only a few tens ofnanometers. This allows fluorescent labeling of live cells and live cell imagingimmediately after delivery of the substance, which is not possible with conventionalmethods. In this application note, we will demonstrate the use of the SU10 for introducinga fluorescent reagent into a cell with low membrane permeability and monitor theintracellular dynamics with the CSU-W1 confocal scanner unit.
