Wind Speed and Direction Monitoring

Download Whitepaper
Wind direction indicates the direction from which the wind is blowing, and its direction relative to the azimuth. Wind speed indicates the speed of the wind and is expressed in terms of distance per hour (km/h) or second (km/s). Wind direction and speed can be measured with an anemometer. Observation of wind direction and speed is important for natural disaster prediction and prevention. For example, when loading and unloading cargo at ports, it is possible to predict danger by monitoring wind direction and speed as trends, and to use it as a basis for deciding whether to stop work.
