Specim, a pioneer and global leader in hyperspectral imaging solutions, has appointed Takayuki Mukai as Chief Executive Officer to advances its next phase of global growth by combining its hyperspectral imaging expertise with the technology, capabilities, and business platform of the Konica Minolta Group.

Takayuki Mukai joins Specim from Konica Minolta, where he led the Green Materials Business Unit. His more than 20 years of experience with Konica Minolta will support Specim’s ambition to expand into new markets and applications as demand for advanced imaging solutions continues to grow across industrial, scientific, and machine vision sectors.

Takayuki Mukai succeeds Tapio Kallonen, who has led Specim since 2018 and played a key role in expanding the company’s international business and strengthening its integration within the Konica Minolta Group.
