The AOMO 3080-1980 from Sintec Optronics is a Tellurium dioxide (TeO2) Acousto-Optic Modulator that operates at a wavelength of 2000 nm. It produces a beam of diameter 300 μm and peak RF power of 6 W. This AOM has a Bragg angle of 19 mrad with a diffraction efficiency of 80 % and rise time of 73 ns. It has a beam separation of 38 mrad and modulation bandwidth of 4.5 MHz.
The AOMO 3080-1980 has an acoustic velocity of 4.2 mm/μs with an active aperture size of 2.5 mm (L) x 0.5 mm (H). It has a center frequency of 80 MHz and an RF bandwidth of 15 MHz. This randomly polarized AOM has a nominal input impedance of 50 Ohms and maximum VSWR of 1.3:1 (at 80 MHz). It has a maximum insertion loss of 2 % and reflectivity of 0.5 % per surface.
The AOMO 3080-1980 has a digital & analogue driver to switch the state of the optical beam rapidly and to vary the output intensity. It has an optical power density of 10 MW/cm2 and a minimum contrast ratio of 1000:1. This AOM is ideal for pre-press (putting image and text data onto films or plates as part of the printing process), laser imaging and displays, switching in telecom fibres, instrumentation and research applications.
