The I-M040-2C8B1-3-GH84 from Sintec Optronics is an Acousto-Optic Modulator (AOM) that operates at a frequency of 40 MHz and a wavelength from 1900 nm to 2100 nm. It has an AMTIR active aperture that measures 2 mm and has a rise/fall time of 260 ns/mm. This AOM can be controlled with an RF Driver that provides the electronic signal for the operation. With a digital driver, an external TTL signal enables rapid on and off switching of the optical beam and an analogue driver enables a variable intensity output, typically from 0% to 85% of the input beam. It is ideal for pre-press (putting image and text data onto films or plates as part of the printing process), laser imaging and displays, switching in telecom fibers, instrumentation and research.
