The TCD1209DG from Toshiba Corporation is a CCD Linear Image Sensor that has a pixel size of 14 µm x 14 µm. It has 2048 image-sensing elements with a spectral resolution of 8 lines/mm and data rate of 20 MHz. This B/W CCD image sensor has a sensitivity of 31 V/lx.s and dynamic range of 2000. It has a total transfer efficiency of 98% and an output impedance of 0.2 kOhms. This lens-reduction type CCD image sensor has a photo response non-uniformity (PRNU) of 10% and dark signal non-uniformity (DSNU) of 1 mV. It has a random noise of 0.6 mV, saturation exposure of 0.06 lx.s, and dark signal voltage of 1 mV. This CCD image sensor requires a DC supply voltage of 12 V and dissipates 160 mW of power. It is available in a 22-pin CERDIP package that measures 41.6 (L) mm x 10.16 (W) mm x 7.22 (H) mm and is ideal for barcode readers & optical character reader (OCR) applications.
