The Emerald 10M from Teledyne e2v is a 10 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 4,096 (H) x 2,460 (V) pixels. They are available in standard speed and high speed models. These CMOS image sensors have a global shutter in a 1” optical format that delivers a frame rate of 42 fps (at 8-10 bit) & 30 fps (at 12 bit) for standard speed model and 80 fps (at 8-10 bit) & 60 fps (at 12 bit) for high speed model. They have a pixel size of 2.8 µm and an aspect ratio of 17:10. These CMOS image sensors have a maximum SNR of 38 dB and quantum efficiency of 65 % (at 500 nm).
The Emerald 10M have a readout noise of 2.8 e- and dynamic range of 67.5 dB (normal range) & 100+ dB (HDR mode). They have 16 LVDS outputs that provide a data rate of 800 Mbps. These image sensors consume up to 1.8 W of power and can produce B&W & color outputs. They are available in a 224-pin ceramic LGA package that measures 20 x 21 mm2 and are ideal for machine vision, product inspection & sorting, and pick & place robot guidance applications.
