The Hydra3D from Teledyne e2v is a 0.5 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 832 (H) x 600 (V) pixels. It has a three-tap global shutter or gated global shutter in a 2/3" optical format that delivers a frame rate of 416.7 fps (at 12-bit). This image sensor has a pixel size of 10 µm x 10 µm and an aspect ratio of 4:3. It has a quantum efficiency of 37 % (at 850 nm) & 19 % (at 940 nm) and transfer time of up to 20 ns. This image sensor has a dynamic range of 60 dB - 64.7 dB and linearity from -1% to +1 %. It has a full well capacity of 10000 - 30000 e-, readout noise of 2.5 e-, and temporal noise of 10 - 17.3 e-.
The Hydra3D has multiple acquisition modes, high dynamic range mode, multiple trigger modes, and row-wise ROI (up to 4 for distance measurement, 1 for 2D greyscale image) & column-wise ROI (with 64 columns granularity). This image sensor has scalable LVDS outputs, SPI controls, HFPN correction, and on-chip multi-system management. It consumes 2.2 W of power and is available in a ceramic LGA package that measures 24 mm (H) x 22 mm (V). This image sensor is ideal for 3D imaging, factory automation, robotics, logistics, surveillance, ITS, mapping/building, and drone applications.
