The GSENSE4040BSI from Gpixel Inc. is a 21 Megapixel rolling shutter BSI Scientific CMOS Image Sensor that has a quantum efficiency of 90% at 600 nm. It is available in a Φ52 mm optical format that delivers monochrome images with an effective pixel array of 4096 H x 4096 V. This image sensor has a 12-bit ADC and a photosensitive area of 36.8mm x 36.8mm. It has a frame rate of 24fps with a pixel size of 9μm × 9μm.

The GSENSE4040BSI achieves 39k e- FWC, 2. 3 e-rms read noise and 85 dB dynamic range. The full-speed variant consists of 18 pairs of sub-LVDS channels running at 600MHz per channel that supports full-resolution imaging. It is available in a 140-pin PGA ceramic package with a removable glass lid and is ideal for astronomy & high-performance life science and scientific imaging applications.
