The AAA1634NXX from SK Hynix is a 16 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor with a 10-bit ADC in 1/3 inch optical format that delivers a frame rate of 30 fps at 4656x3504 and 60 fps at 2Sum 2328x1752 resolution. This image sensor uses unique sensor technology to enhance image quality by reducing FPN (Fixed Pattern Noise), horizontal/vertical line noise, and random noise. It requires a DC supply of 1.1-2.8 V and consumes up to 220 mW of power. This sensor can be controlled via a two-wire serial bus interface and uses MIPI 2/4-Lane (Max 1.696 Gbps per lane) interface for output.
The AAA1634NXX has a built-in temperature sensor, internal PLL for high-speed clock generation, and built-in test pattern generation. It supports dual camera synchronization (FSYNC), dead pixel correction, 2D lens shading correction, black level calibration and can produce 10-bit Quad Bayer/Sum Bayer output. This image sensor uses 0.8 µm Intensive Pixel Technology to capture clear photos in low light conditions and realistic images with improved noise characteristics. It has Paired PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) to ensure greater image quality and a re-mosaic algorithm for real-time conversion between resolution-centric and quality-centric camera modes depending on the lighting conditions.
This image sensor has Dual Conversion Gain (DCG) Pixels that automatically adapts the camera to surrounding lighting conditions, enabling steady production of high-quality and high-ISO images even when the lighting rapidly shifts. It has a flash strobe control that supports Xenon/LED flash types and is ideal for mobile phone cameras, digital still cameras, PC cameras, and video conference applications.
