The FC1500-ULNplus from Menlo Systems is an Optical Frequency Comb that has a spectral range above 25 nm (500 nm - 1050 nm with M-VIS, 1050 nm - 2100 nm with M-NIR). It delivers an average output power above 10 mW (from each laser port) and optional powers of 100 mW (M-VIS) & 200 mW (M-NIR). This OFC has a comb spacing of 250 MHz and tuning range of over 4 MHz. It has a Carrier-Envelope Offset frequency tuning range greater than 250 MHz and linewidth of less than 1 Hz.
The FC1500-ULNplus has an accuracy of 1 x 10-18 (over 100 s) and a stability of 8 x 10-18 (in 1 s) & 5 x 10-20 (in 1000 s). It has an integrated phase noise of up to 80 mrad (1 Hz - 2 MHz) and a bandwidth above 1 MHz. This OFC has a fully automated turnkey metrology system that includes data evaluation software designed for continuous operation and can combine multiple extensions in a system.
The FC1500-ULNplus uses all polarization-maintaining figure 9® mode-locking technology with high bandwidth actuators. It requires an AC supply voltage of 100/115/230 V and consumes below 500 W or 3kW of power. This OFC has a closed-cycle chiller and is available in a module with an optical unit that measures 706 mm x 716 mm. It is ideal for optical (lattice) clocks, clock comparisons (via fiber networks), and transfer of CW laser stability to full comb spectrum applications.
