The FC1500-ULNnova from Menlo Systems is an Optical Frequency Comb that operates at a wavelength of 500 nm - 2000 nm. It delivers an average output power above 10 mW (from each laser port) and has a spectral range of greater than 25 nm. This linearly polarized OFC has a comb spacing of 250 MHz and tuning range of over 2 MHz. It has a Carrier-Envelope Offset frequency tuning range above 250 MHz and minimum tuning range of 4 MHz.
The FC1500-ULNnova has an accuracy of up to 1 x 10-17 (above 100 s) & 1 x 10-14 (above 1000 s) and a stability of less than 1 x 10-16 (in 1 s) & 1 x 10-18 (in 1000 s). It has a fully automated turnkey metrology system that includes data evaluation software designed for continuous operation and can combine multiple extensions in a system. This OFC uses ultra-low-noise (ULN) figure 9® mode-locking technology and “nova” oscillator for improved robustness against acoustical distortion & thermal drift.
The FC1500-ULNnova includes seven fiber-coupled, linearly polarized, polarization-maintaining output ports. It requires an AC supply voltage of 100/115/230 V and consumes below 500 W of power. This OFC is available in a compact module that measures 706 mm x 716 mm (optical unit) & 600 mm x 800 mm (control electronics) and is ideal for high-precision CW laser stabilization, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, calibration of lasers, transfer of CW laser stability to full comb spectrum, cold atoms & ions, high-resolution spectroscopy, and low-noise microwave generation applications.
