The 86120D from Keysight Technologies is an Optical Wavelength Meter that operates from 700 to 1700 nm (176 to 428 THz). It has a calibration accuracy of ± 0.6 dB, ± 0.2 dB flatness, and linearity of ± 0.3 dB. This optical wavelength meter can handle a single line input from -20 to -40 dBm and multiple lines input of 30 dB. It has a return loss of 35 - 50 dB and a measurement cycle time of 0.6 s. The 86120D is a Michelson interferometer-based instrument that measures the wavelength and optical power of laser light over a specified wavelength range. It has a built-in HeNe laser that guarantees an accurate absolute wavelength measurement against a natural standard. This optical wavelength meter can perform simultaneous measurements of multiple laser lines and allows measurements of DWDM signals and multiple lines of Fabry-Perot lasers. It has a broadband mode for measuring the weighted center of wider lines and has built-in applications for optical signal-to-noise ratio, wavelength, and power drift allowing smart stand-alone test solutions with a compact footprint and avoiding costly test procedure development. This optical wavelength meter is available in a package that measures 138 x 425 x 520 mm. It has a 9 μm / 125 μm single-mode fiber for optical input and LAN, PS/2 for keyboard and mouse, SVGA and DVI for external monitor, GPIB, USB, & AC Line connectors.
