The EOC SiC UV APD 1.45-QFN-16 from Electro Optical Components is a UV Solar Blind SiC Avalanche Photodiode for low signal applications. This APD has a sensitivity of 1 nW/cm2 and requires a high bias voltage of around 180 VDC. It is available in a 4 x 4 mm QFN-16 surface mount package. The SiC UV APD is ideal for a variety of low UV light applications including Flame detection, UV photon counting, Low-level UV monitoring and Solid state replacement for UV PMTs (Photo Multiplier Tubes).
