The SLD-840-14BF-5 from Nolatech is a Superluminescent Diode that has a center wavelength of 820 nm. It delivers a CW/pulsed output power of 5 mW and has a spectral width of 20 - 30 nm. This SLD has an internal monitor photodiode (PD) and thermoelectric cooler (TEC). It has a thermal resistance of 10 kOhm and a minimum extinction ratio of 17 dB. This SLD has a maximum forward voltage of 2.5 V and a maximum forward current of 300 mA. It is available in a 14-pin standard butterfly package that measures 44 x 30 x 10.5 mm and has a Ø0.9 mm SM/PM Fiber. This SLD is ideal for fiberoptic gyros, as a light source for fiber transmission systems, fiberoptic sensors, optical coherence tomography, and optical measurements applications.
