The GCINE4349 from Gpixel Inc. is a 49.15 Megapixel Video CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 8192 (H) x 6000 (V) pixels. It has rolling & DSLR shutter in a 35 mm optical format that delivers a frame rate of 120 fps (at 8K resolution) & 240 fps (at 4K resolution). This image sensor has a 16-bit ADC and dynamic range of 87 dB. It has a full well capacity of 160k e- and quantum efficiency of 75%. This image sensor uses a 16/32/64 channel LVDS interface for output with a maximum data rate of 76.8 Gbps (1.2 Gbps/channel). It supports 2 additional HDR/readout modes - Variable Slope High Dynamic Range mode and Digital Still Camera (DSC) mode and has shutter control for DSC operation (still photography).
The GCINE4349 is based on a 2-wafer level stacked BSI architecture where the top layer consists of a BSI pixel array and the bottom digital CMOS layer consists of an array of core cells. Each layer includes ADC blocks and SRAM memory blocks which are used to sum and store up to 4 subsequent sub-frames. This image sensor requires a DC supply voltage of 3.3 V, 1.8 V, 1.25 V, or -2.2 V and consumes 3.3 W - 8.1 W of power. It is available in a 431-pin LGA package that measures 57.6 mm x 44.4 mm x 4.25 mm and is ideal for photography, cinematography, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), and high-end video applications.
