The OS08C10 from OmniVision Technologies is an 8.49 Megapixel Backside-illuminated CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 3872 x 2192 pixels. It has a rolling shutter in a 1/2.82” optical format that delivers a maximum image transfer rate of 60 fps (at 10-bit), 48 fps (at 12-bit) in full size and 30 fps (at 12-bit/14-bit) in dual analog gain (DAG) HDR mode. This image sensor has a pixel size of 1.449 μm x 1.449 μm and an image area of 5610.528 μm x 3176.208 μm. It has a linear lens chief ray angle of 12 deg, 12-bit ADC, and supports 10-bit/12-bit/14-bit RAW output formats. This image sensor has an embedded frame counter & temperature sensor and a staggered high dynamic range (HDR).
The OS08C10 is based on OmniVision's PureCel®Plus-S stacked-die technology and features automatic black level correction, dynamic defective pixel cancellation (DPC) & One-Time Programmable (OTP) DPC. It uses 4-lane MIPI and up to 4-channel sub-LVDS high speed serial interfaces. This image sensor has horizontal/vertical 2 x 2 sub-sampling and Serial Camera Control Bus (SCCB) for register programming. It requires a supply voltage of 2.8 V (analog), 1.2 V (digital), and 1.8 V (I/O pins). This image sensor consumes up to 10 μA (XSHUTDOWN) of current and dissipates 296 mW (active) of power. It is ideal for security cameras and high-resolution consumer camera applications.
