The DLR-970 Series from IPG Photonics are Industrial Grade Diode Lasers that operate at a wavelength of 970 nm. They deliver average output powers of 100 W, 300 W, 500 W, 1000 W, 1500 W & 2000 W and have a wavelength accuracy of ± 10 nm. These continuous wave or modulated lasers have a linewidth (FWHM) of 5 nm and modulation frequency of up to 50 kHz. They have a power tunability of 10% - 100% and power stability of ± 1%. These lasers have a fiber with a numerical aperture of up to 0.22 and core diameters of 200 μm, 300 μm & 400 μm. They have a wall plug efficiency of 35% and RMS optical noise of 1%.
The DLR-970 Series lasers are based on entirely sealed high-efficiency single-emitter diodes and are air-cooled or water-cooled. They require an AC supply voltage of 100 V - 240 V and dissipate powers of 300 W, 900 W, 1800 W, 3000 W, 4500 W & 6000 W. These lasers are available in a compact module that measures 448 mm (W) x 403 mm (D) x 132 mm (H), 448 mm (W) x 580 mm (D) x 132 mm (H), and 448 mm (W) x 677 mm (D) x 177 mm (H). They are ideal for optical pumping, plastics welding, metal hardening, soft soldering, brazing, FPD bonding, and silicon surface modification applications.
