The axiom 660 from Novanta Photonics is a Diode Pumped Solid State Laser that operates at a wavelength of 660 nm. It delivers an output power of 3 W - 6 W and has a power stability of up to 1% RMS. This continuous wave laser produces a beam of diameter 0.85 ± 0.2 mm and has a beam divergence of less than 1.6 mrad. It has a maximum beam ellipticity of 1:1.15 and beam quality factor (M2) below 1.2. This horizontally polarised laser has a TEM00 beam spatial mode and polarization ratio above 100:1. It has a beam angle below 1 mrad and beam pointing stability of up to 2 μad/°C.
The axiom 660 has a spectral bandwidth of 60 GHz and RMS noise of less than 1%. It has a warm-up time below 10 minutes and coherence length of -5 mm. This class IV laser can be controlled via the RemoteApp software and LabView driver interface. It is available in a module that measures 247 mm (L) x 136.5 mm (W) x 59.5 mm (H) (laser head) and 163 mm (L) x 136.5 mm (W) x 66 mm (H) (power supply). This laser is ideal for laser-based diagnostic, analytical, micromachining, and fine material processing applications.
