The DX-355-50 from Photonics Industries is a short pulse nanosecond Laser that operates at a wavelength of 355 nm. It delivers a pulse energy of 1 mJ with a pulse width of up to 12 ± 3 ns at 50 kHz and 20 ± 4 ns at 100 kHz. This laser has a repetition rate of up to 500 kHz and pulse-to-pulse stability of 2% rms. It produces a beam of diameter 2.5 mm, beam pointing stability of up to 25 µrad, and divergence of less than 1.5 mrad. This laser has a polarization ratio of 100:1 (horizontal) and average power of 50 W at 50 kHz and 100 kHz, and 30 W at 200 kHz. It has a beam quality of less than 1.2 M2 and a beam roundness of 90%. It has a polarization ratio of 100:1 (horizontal) and average power of 50 W at 50 kHz and 100 kHz, and 30 W at 200 kHz.
The DX-355-50 can be externally triggered and remotely controlled via an RS-232 communication link. It requires an AC supply of 100 - 240 V and a line frequency of 50 - 60 Hz. It is available in a compact modular package that measures 20 x 8.5 x 3.75 inches and is ideal for cutting, drilling, welding, scribing, marking, intra-marking, patterning, dielectric grooving, de-paneling, annealing, repair, reel-to-reel on-the-fly converting process micromachining, PCB/FPCB cutting, drilling, depaneling, silicon wafer scribing and singulation, low-k dielectric grooving, solar cell scribing and PERC processing, via hole drilling, laser trepanning, laser percussion drilling, laser lift-off (LLO), laser debonding systems, semiconductor microprocessing, LiDAR systems, autonomous systems, 3-D scanning systems, airborne laser swath mapping systems, and laser altimetry systems applications.
