The TSL-570 Type H from Santec Corporation are Tunable Semiconductor Lasers that operate at wavelengths of 1260 nm - 1360 nm or 1500 nm - 1630 nm. These lasers have a peak output power above 20 dBm and full tuning range of 16 dBm. They have a wavelength setting resolution of 0.1 pm and wavelength stability of up to ±1 pm. These lasers have an absolute wavelength accuracy of ±1 pm (step mode) & ± 1.5 pm (continuous sweep mode) and wavelength repeatability of ± 0.5 pm (step mode) & ± 0.8 pm (continuous sweep mode). They have a sweep speed of 1 nm/s - 200 nm/s and fine-tuning scan range of greater than 10 GHz.

The TSL-570 Type H have power stability of ±0.01 dB and relative intensity noise of -145 (1 MHz to 3 GHz) dB/Hz. These lasers have a power repeatability of ±0.01 dB and power flatness vs. wavelength of ± 0.2 dB in step mode. They have dynamic power repeatability of ±0.01 dB and dynamic relative power flatness of ±0.2 dB in continuous sweep mode (at 100 nm/s). These lasers have a linewidth of 100 kHz (coherence ctrl. off) & 40 MHz (coherence ctrl. on) and side mode suppression ratio above 45 dB. They have a signal to total source spontaneous emission ratio of greater than 45 dB and signal to source spontaneous emission ratio above 65 dB/nm.

The TSL-570 Type H supports FC or SC, APC optical output connectors and PMF optical fiber. They have a simple-to-use touch panel display and can be controlled via GP-IB, USB & ethernet interfaces. These lasers require an AC supply voltage of 100 V - 240 V and consume 100 W of power. They are available in a package that measures 220 (W) mm x 385 (D) mm x 130 (H) mm and are ideal for silicon photonics testing, optical component testing, and optical spectroscopy applications.
