The Oslux S2.1 from Osram is a multi-chip LED for camera flash applications that combines two LED chips and a silicone lens into a single module. It integrates two chips of different color temperatures: a cold white chip with 6,000 K, and a warm white chip with 2,250 K (Dual-CCT). The new module has a brightness of 125 lux, providing uniform illumination of photos and video recordings from mobile devices such as smartphones. The Oslux provides a remarkable color fidelity and excellent color uniformity across the target scene with a deviation of up to 300 K. It is available in a package that measures 5.0 mm x 5.0 mm x 1.15 mm with its lens slightly taller. The LED module requires less space on the board and has a smaller exposed aperture than two single LEDs. The module can be installed in mobile devices without a separate protective window.
