The SMLD12WBN1W from ROHM is a White chip LED available in a 1.6 x 0.8 mm size package. It has a luminous intensity of 120 mcd and provides an output power of 66 mW. This LED maintains 100% of its luminosity after operating for 1,000 hours (@25°C, IF=20mA). The package is made up of a new resin material that improves strength 25 times when compared to products using silicone resin. This new package provides superior mountability and long operational life, which makes it ideal for use in display panels (e.g. temperature control displays) in industrial and compact consumer equipment.
