The IMX993 from Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation are 3.21 Megapixel SWIR Sensors that have an effective pixel of 2080 (H) x 1544 (V). They have a global shutter in a 1/1.8" optical format that deliver maximum frame rates of 173 fps (8-bit ADC), 158 fps (10-bit ADC), and 93 fps (12-bit ADC). These SWIR sensors have an image size of 8.9 mm (diagonal) and unit cell size of 3.45 μm (H) x 3.45 μm (V). They have a sensitivity of 291 mV and saturation signal of 360 mV. These SWIR sensors have a quantum efficiency of greater than 75% and an operability above 99.5%.
The IMX993 have an optical black region consisting of 96 pixels (horizontal direction) and 24 pixels (vertical direction) at the front. They require DC supply voltages of 1.2 V, 1.8 V, 2.2 V, 3.3 V, & 2.2 V (for the pixel array) and support SLVS (2, 4, or 8 channels) & MIPI (2-lane or 4-lane) output interfaces. These SWIR sensors are available in a package that measure 21 mm (H) x 20 mm (V) or 30 mm (H) x 30 mm (V) (thermoelectric cooling element included) and are ideal for visualizing water, sorting materials, transmission observation & temperature observation applications.
