The OV05C10 from OmniVision Technologies is a 5.2 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 2888 (H) x 1808 (V) pixels. It has a rolling shutter in a 1/4.7" optical format that delivers a frame rate of 30 fps (HDR) & 60 fps (normal). This backside illumination (BSI) digital image sensor supports other image sizes like 2560 (H) x 1440 (V) pixels (2K), 1920 (H) x 1080 (V) pixels (1080 p), and 1280 (H) x 720 (V) pixels (720 p). It has a pixel size of 1.116 µm x 1.116 µm and an image area of 3223.008 μm x 2017.728 μm. This color image sensor is based on OmniVision" PureCelPlus architecture and HDR technology.
The OV05C10 features two-exposure staggered HDR timing for improved image quality in bright or dark environments. It exhibits auto framing for video conferencing, human presence detection (HPD) & multi-camera synchronization functions and can be controlled via a MIPI interface. This image sensor supports 10-bit RGB RAW & 8-bit RGB RAW for ULP output formats and has an aspect ratio of 16:10. It has two on-chip phase lock loops (PLLs), two-wire serial bus control (SCCB), and 1024 bytes of embedded one-time programmable (OTP) memory. This image sensor has static defect pixel correction and automatic black level calibration image quality controls. It is available in a CSP package and is ideal for mainstream and high-end laptops, tablets & IOT devices.
