EPFL
|
| Hydromea, an EPFL spin-off company, has developed a miniature optical modem that can operate down to 6000 meters below the ocean’s surface and is sensitive enough to collect data at very high speeds from sources more than 50 meters away. Many sensors only offer a wired connection, but they are impractical because you have to remove the devices from the water to recover their data. |
