| The LuxX Diode Laser Series from Omicron-Laserage are CW Single Mode Laser Diode Modules that operate from 375 nm to 1550 nm. They deliver 20-500 mW of output power and have long-term power stability of better than 0.5%/8h. These vertically polarised laser diodes produce a beam with a diameter of 1-1.5 mm and have a beam quality factor M² of 1.15. They require a DC supply of 5 V and can be controlled via RS-232 and USB 2.0 interfaces. |

| Dan Smalley, a professor of electrical engineering at BYU, and his team of researchers garnered international attention three years ago when they figured out how to draw screenless, free-floating objects in space. Their latest work - called optical trap displays - traps a single particle in the air with a laser beam and then moves that particle around, leaving a laser-illuminated path that floats in mid-air; like a “a 3D printer for light”. |
