The µMOPA series from TOPTICA EAGLEYARD is a Distributed Bragg Reflector Laser Diode that operates at a wavelength of 1064 nm. It delivers an output power of 2 W and has a spectral width (FWHM) of 3 pm. This single-frequency laser diode has a beam divergence (FWHM) of 2 mrad (parallel & perpendicular) and produces a beam of diameter 1 mm (horizontal & vertical). It has a sidemode suppression ratio (SMSR) of 30 dB and degree of polarization (DOP) of 90%. This laser diode has a laser current of 7 A and slope efficiency of 0.8 W/A.
The µMOPA series features a monolithically integrated tapered amplifier (TA) along with a built-in thermoelectric cooler and thermistor. It has a temperature coefficient of wavelength of 0.08 nm/K and current coefficient of wavelength of 0.001 nm/mA & 0.035 nm/A. This laser diode has a thermistor resistance of 10 kOhms and threshold current of 3 A. It is RoHS compliant and is available in a hermetic 14 pin butterfly package that measures 30 mm x 26 mm x 8.9 mm. This laser diode is ideal for Raman spectroscopy, metrology, Nd:YAG replacement, and EDFA pumping applications.
