The CAS850A005 from Vertilite is a Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) Diode that operates at a wavelength of 850 nm. It delivers an optical output power of 0.6 mW with a power conversion efficiency of 30% and slope efficiency of 0.8 W/A. This laser diode has a full beam divergence of 16 deg, minimum side mode suppression ratio of 20 dB, and differential resistance of 250 Ohms. It requires a threshold current of 0.8 mA, DC supply voltage of 2.1 V, and consumes 1.5 mA of current. This laser diode is available in an Au submount package that measures 173 ± 15 µm x 173 ± 15 µm x 100 ± 10 µm and is ideal for 3D sensing applications.
